PLEASE READ BELOW AND TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION

Recently I sent to you important information pertaining to actions taken by the House Armed Services Committee in HR 4205 Section 518 to lessen the negative actions affecting current and future non-dual status technicians.   These actions would change the Mandatory Retirement provisions of the current law NDAA 2000 by modifying the language for techs hired before Feb  1996 to: ONLY REQUIRING MANDATORY RETIREMENT UPON REACHING AGE 60 OR OLDER  AND ATTAINING ELIGIBILITY FOR AN UNREDUCED ANNUITY.

As explained in the previous correspondence sent, because the Senate did not take any similar actions, it is imperative that all technicians prepare letters (examples previously furnished) to their Senators and Congressman requesting their support. You were additionally requested not to mail these letters until instructed to do so!!

IT IS NOW TIME TO MAIL THESE LETTERS!!!!!

It is extremely important that I emphasize that if we are successful in changing the law to age 60 for mandatory retirement/separation, this will be of major benefit to many current and future non-dual status technicians. In the event that we fail however, technicians as young as their mid=forties may be affected and forced to retire or be separated.

I am extremely confident that we can bring change but only with your active involvement!!! Your letters and lobbying efforts were instrumental in persuading the House to make the changes in NDAA 2001 to age 60 and I am confident that with your letters NOW, we will be able to ascertain this much needed change in the current law.  Anyone requiring assistance may contact me either through EMAIL or telephonically.
