TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!!!

APRIL 2000 brings on the first in a series of negatives soon to be faced by

Army Reserve and Air Force Reserve Non-Dual Status Technicians.

As of this writing we have not heard from any Air Reserve Technician impacted

by this legislation, therefore we must assume that the Air Reserve is

carrying out implementation of NDAA 2000 in a humane manner rather than

simply showing the employees the door!!!

It is imperative that all affected Army Reserve Technicians, as well as those

who maybe affected in the future, immediately read the contents of the letter

below which will be sent 15 December 1999 by President John Esposito to all

Authorization Committee members and which was briefed to Congressional

Representatives by both Secretary Treasurer, Ron Liwo and John on 10Dec99.

The letter identifies and addresses significant problems relative to the

implementation of NDAA 2000 as it pertains to mandatory retirement and

separations of current employees in the Army Reserve.

It is critical, that after reading the letter, you write one to your

Congressional representatives, utilizing the information in this letter as a

guide and tailoring your letter to fit your own situation. YOU MUST NOT

MERELY COPY THE LETTER!!! Form letters will simply not get any attention!!!

You must also send a letter to Senator Strom Thurmond, Senator Wayne Allard,

Senator Ted Stevens, Congressman Jerry Lewis and Congressman Steve Buyer.

These individuals are the chairpersons of both the Armed Services and

Appropriations subcommittees and are key individuals relative to this issue.

I fully realize that some of you have written before and are frustrated with

either a "noncommittal response" or the standard "I will keep your views in

mind" response that you may have previously received. However, if we are to

attain any success you and all fellow workers must immediately write again.

Please fax all responses received to President Esposito at 617-363-2385

immediately upon receipt. This will probably be are last chance to

Congressionally change or delay this issue.

While Congress has made the decision to eliminate all non-dual status

technicians occupying military technician positions, I am quite confident

that it was not their intent to do so in such an arbitrary and capricious

manner.

There is no time. to waste you must act today!!!!                HH01518A.gif (838 bytes) sample letter
